While many kids are counting the days until school ends and looking forward to summer fun, our kids are in hospitals—facing procedures, surgeries, pain, and challenges that no child should have to endure.
It's easy to forget that children battling illness can't go swimming, play with other kids, or go to summer camp. Most of their days are spent alone, in the hospital, sick, or with family members. It isn't logical and it isn't fair.
Courage Tiger and his friends at Beads of Courage are working hard to make this summer a little cooler for our kids, so that they have something to smile about this season, too.
