Hi! My name is Cassidy, in 2020, I got a traumatic brain injury and it rocked my world. This injury disrupted my autonomic nervous system, set off underlying chronic migraines, and began a trail of lifelong problems. I went from being a normal middle schooler- cheer, school, days with friends, to a kid who couldn't get through days at school. I had to start doing half days until my migraines improved. I was going to the doctor nearly every week throughout COVID. I have POTS and Gastroparasis. I have to take multiple medications everyday just to ensure I can function, so I can eat and walk and think. I have monthly appointments with specialists, a special diet. I don't feel normal. I have trouble taking medications sometimes. I am so incredibly lucky to have a great support system around me though, and a great team of doctors:)
