Let’s support this global celebration of courage for children and teens coping with serious illness. You can help make waves of support to help raise funds that can help more kids in our NICU, Burn, Oncology, Chronic, and many more programs by providing the beads these kids need to honor their courage.

Kai was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in November 2017 right after she started 1st grade. She spent so much time over the next 2 plus years at CT Children's getting treated with various chemotherapy, including spinal taps with chemo, oral chemotherapy and IV chemotherapy. And many ER visits and hospital stays. All included IV pokes and blood draws, and she had a tough time with them. The Beads of Courage program at CT Children's helped her see how far she had come with everything and gave her something to represent everything she went through, which i think greatly improves how children perceive medical treatments when they don't understand what is going on in their little bodies.
