Help me deliver Beads at Home
Thank you for your generous support of the Beads at Home Program. You are helping a child/teen RECORD, OWN and TELL their stories of COURAGE!
Hi, my name is Cassidy! I am a chronically ill and disabled 19 year old. I have a rare genetic connective tissue disorder called Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS); this condition cause many comorbidities such as Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Gastroparesis, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Asthma, Sleep Apnea, Colonic Dysmotility, Resolved Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), and others. My conditions have left me reliant on a Gastro-Jejunostomy feeding tube and a port for IV fluids. I've been battling my conditions since I was 13 and I have been a Bead of Courage member since 2023. My beads mean a lot to me. They symbolize how much I have been through as well as being a visual representation of all I have conquered and achieved.
Help me deliver “Beads at Home” to myself and other children who cannot receive Beads of Courage at the hospital, either because their hospital does not offer the Beads of Courage Program or does not provide it for their medical condition.
Right now, more than 1,000 brave children and teens are waiting for a sponsor like you to help them receive their beads—each one a symbol of their strength and resilience.
Your sponsorship becomes bead credit, allowing a child/teen to choose and receive their own Beads of Courage, honoring every step of their journey.
