Help us make our 100 miles matter more this summer by helping children that are coping with serious illnesses!
Join us & help make a difference!
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
We have signed up for the 100 mile summer challenge! Together, we can encourage children coping with serious illness with every step, stride, hill climb, paddle, and lap we swim! Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Beads of Courage.
Axton’s place of treatment, University Hospital in San Antonio Texas, is a member of this amazing non-profit organization. After every part of his treatment, whether it be a hospital admission, cardiology appointment or heart procedure, Axton is presented with Beads of Courage that represent all he goes through. For example, yellow beads represent an overnight stay in the hospital, glow in the dark beads represent echocardiograms, black beads represent pokes (IVs, shots), red beads represent blood transfusions, pink beads represent respiratory support, heart procedures have their own sets of beads — the list goes on! You string them all together by day, creating a visual journal of Axton’s Heart Journey.
We hope you can help continue to put a smile on these kids’ journeys while coping with serious illnesses! We can’t wait to see Axton walk across the stage at graduation with his around his neck!
Thank you <3
