Thank you for looking at our World Beads of Courage Day fundraiser! The kids and teens supported through the Beads of Courage programs overcome big obstacles every day while coping with cancer and other serious illnesses. This 5th Annual World Beads of Courage Day, let’s show our support by stepping up to help them overcome obstacles and together as we Take Courage to New Heights!

The month of September is International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and NICU Awareness Month.

Through the Beads of Courage oncology program a white bead is given for every chemotherapy treatment.

Every $15 we raise helps provide 500 Beads of Courage White Beads for chemotherapy in our oncology program.

For $75, you can ensure that three siblings are supported by our sibling program

$100 - moves one child or teen currently on a waitlist to receive Beads of Courage

$250 - provides 4,000 program beads for our Beads of Courage Program...such as 4,000 red beads to acknowledge every time a child receives a blood transfusion or 4,000 yellow beads for every night they spend away from home in a hospital for treatment

$500 - provides our new DREAM program for 120 kids to teach them the power of art and their breath to cope with their medical condition

Annually, Beads of Courage distributes over 230,000 white beads. We need your help today to cover the costs of the white beads we need to honor the courage it takes to receive chemotherapy for treatment of a pediatric cancer.

Over 10,000 babies are admitted to the NICU annually across 71 NICU programs in hospitals. The Turtle bead is for NICU Enrollment.

The babies who receive this bead and whose families are provided with encouragement through its caring intention; "A turtle moves slowly and cautiously through life, carrying its home on its back. While in the NICU, think of the turtle as YOUR symbol of protection – a symbol of safety when you need extra courage."

As they grow up, NICU graduates tell us their beads help them understand the early days of their lives and the courage they had so young. Each bead also represents all of the caring people who helped them and provides encouragement that they can overcome difficult challenges with courage, honor, and hope.
