Working in a children's hospital, I've witness first hand the power of the Beads of Courage program. When my mom was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer, we quickly learned that Beads of Courage has a program for adult oncology patients as well! As an avid artist, beader, jewelry maker - my mom was thrilled to have this program to track each and every milestone in her fight against cancer. Receiving beads and stringing them was not only therapeutic for her, but momentous, and something that our family cherishes to this day. Together, we can encourage children and adults coping with serious illness with every step, stride, hill climb, paddle, and lap we swim!
